It brings to light much of the misinformation and ignorance about bamboo textiles that it seems, you and your friends also share. Perhaps information is not as readily available in the UK as it is in the USA but here's what we know from our research. Rayon is the term used to describe fabrics produced from plant fibers. As you may be aware, a variety of plant fibers mean a variety of fabrics with a variety of characteristics. Bamboo creates a very soft and breathable fabric that also insulates and cools the skin. In fact there are many desirable characteristics of Bamboo 'rayon' that are not associated or shared by other types of rayon....perhaps the 'gross' type of which you seem to be familiar. It's like saying chocolate ice cream and vanilla ice cream are all the same.....it's not. Neither Aden + Anais nor Yoya have touted muslin as a 'prestigious fabric'; however, the fact that muslin has survived and been treasured throughout antiquity is testament to it's usefulness and simplistic value whether one be peasant or king....we cannot deny that muslin has served us very well, for centuries. I'm sorry that your friend did not like her Baby Bonkie, our customers have had wonderful experiences with it but as we like to say on this side of the pond...<em>to each their own</em>. At Yoya, we do our best to provide products for our customers based on our criteria of quality, usefulness and design. They seem to like what we do and the way that we do it. My friends in the UK and I all laugh at how Aden and Anais have convinced gullible Americans that RAG material (muslin) is some prestigious fabric. It is cheap peasant material...and Bamboo? Haven't you done your homework? Bamboo is not the wonderful sustainable material you think it is. Horrible and harsh chemicals are used to make Bamboo WOOD into cloth. It is RAYON. Gross. My friend had a Baby bonkie and threw it away because the velcro on it is so horrible, stiff and sharp corners. Yea, yoya, the velcro edges are like a swiss army knife. My friends and I don't like either of these products and think there are better blankets you could offer. I think you have been Bamboozled Yoya!
